Alexander Borisnova, ex-patriot of the fallen Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, awakens in the immediate fallout of the Chernobyl disaster with the awesome power to turn his body’s molecular structure into the material he touches. Escaping the USSR, Alex finds himself an off-the-books operative of CIA Agent Burt Archer in exchange for expedited naturalization. Agent Archer, knowing Alex’s secret, assigns him an infiltration mission into Lubyanka, the heart of the KGB, to destroy a neutron weapon being developed there.
