The magic of Wonderland has been corrupted by an insidious force.  The Queen of Hearts had given over to the dementing corruption when she had managed to convince the rest of the Suits of Cards to mount a genocide against the Garden of Live Flowers.  The intervention of the Cheshire Cat and his supporters saved only a handful of Live Flowers.  Violet, the least damaged of the Live Flowers  swore fealty to Cheshire Cat, as did the rest of the survivors of The First Battle of Wonderland: The Genocide of Flowers.
 
 In the aftermath of the The Genocide of Flowers,  the remainder of Wonderland's populace gravitated into factions.  The Queen of Spades, the King of Diamonds and the Queen of Clubs called for all Cards to close rank and shun outsiders.  The Chessmen quickly followed suit, the pawns running barricades for thier knights. Only Alice and a menagerie of the remnants of Wonderland denizens to try to figure out the cause of the problem in order to repair the damage.
